What's new at RMIdata:

DNI Weather Station  The RMIdata DNI Weather Station is a stand-alone system that provides basic weather parameters and the direct normal irradiance (DNI) of incoming solar radiation. The station meets the recommended NREL SOLRMAP Configuration 1 specifications. The station features an on-board global positioning system (GPS) which will enable the station to automatically determine the latitude, longitude, and GMT time at the site and use these parameters to continuously update the solar position.

The Weather Station can provide data for the following parameters: wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, precipitation, and the global, diffuse, and direct normal irradiance (DNI) of solar radiation. In addition, for quality control and troubleshooting, an on board 2-axis inclinometer is included to verify that the solar sensor is level. The station is designed to be installed using basic hand tools and electronics equipment, and requires no further on-line configuration to begin full functionality upon startup.

The Weather Station can be ordered, pre-configured, and programmed to accept almost any input supply voltage and to output data in engineering units via analog voltage, dial up or cellular telephone, or to a SCADA system using 4-20 mA current loop, Ethernet, Modbus or DNP3 slave over serial or IP.
